Our vision for The Moody Church is to be known in Chicago as a caring, culturally diverse community that seeks to transform lives through a clear witness for Christ, quality programming, and the lifestyle of each believer.

God has allowed us to share the message of Christ through an expanded radio ministry. Moody Church Hour is our Sunday morning worship service; Running to Win is our daily instructional program; and Songs in the Night is our classic Sunday evening broadcast, combining uplifting music and sound biblical teaching.

Dr. Erwin W. Lutzer, Senior Pastor of The Moody Church since 1980, was born and reared near Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Dr. Lutzer is an award-winning author of more than twenty books, a celebrated international conference speaker, and the featured speaker on three radio programs: The Moody Church Hour, Songs in the Night, and Running to Win. These programs are available on the Moody Broadcasting Network, the Bible Broadcasting Network, Trans World Radio and many Christian radio stations around the world. He and his wife, Rebecca, live in the Chicago area and are the parents of three married children.

A Note From Our Pastor

Dear Friend,

Thanks once again for letting me come into your home and share my heart with you.  My sincere desire is that you will be helped in your walk with Christ.

This web site has a description of all the resources we are making available through our Media Ministry.  God has given us the privilege of coming into the homes of tens of thousands of people each day, sharing the good news of the gospel.  Many of you will want to listen to messages you have already heard, others will want to order sermon series that will be of special interest.  Of course there are also books on various topics related to Christian living.

Let me make this suggestion:  One of the best ways I have found to share my faith is by giving a friend a book to read and telling him that we will discuss it at a future date.

This encourages our friends to read it and respond.  Looking for suggestions?

How You Can Be Sure That You Will Spend Eternity With God will enable people to see that we are saved by a sovereign work of God and can be brought to full assurance of faith.

One Minute After You Die has already been used by God to bring men and women to saving faith in Christ.  This book explains what the Bible has to say about the eternal destinations of both believers and unbelievers.

I pray that all of the materials in this web site will help you run the race successfully.  Remember, the Christian life is a marathon, not a one hundred yard dash!
